Chase Website Goes Down

For over 22 hours now customers have been unable to log into Chase’s official website for online banking.

A small message on the left side of the homepage reads, “Our website is temporarily unavailable. We’re working quickly to restore access. Please log on later.” Even though the website is down due to server outage problems, the Chase ATMs remain unaffected.

Millions of users have been incapable of accessing their online accounts to complete such activities as paying their bills online and making transactions.

Chase is aware of the problem and is working on the issue, but has so far been unable to resolve the trouble. In the mean time, Chase is requesting their customers to make use of the ATM’s for their bill payments and other banking services as they work out a resolution to their online banking issues.

It isn’t unheard of for large internet sites to experience problems, but it is strange that this sort of important financial site is experiencing an outage which is lasting for such a long time devoid of any actual explanation.

A spokesperson for the country’s second-largest financial institution by way of assets stated the service went down due to a “technical issue, not hackers or criminals.” Yet another individual acquainted with the actual predicament mentioned that the interruption has been the outcome of a flaw associated with a software program customized for J.P. Morgan.

First Vice President at JPMorgan Chase Christine Holevas said, “We’re working on restoring access. In the meantime, we encourage customers to either call us at 800-935-9935 or go to a branch if they have immediate needs.”

With regards to when the website may become up and running once more, simply no one seems to be sure right now.
